Our Growing Little Girl

Well the posts have been delayed since our early little surprise. We've been on a journey from formula dilemmas to sleepless nights. Parenthood has been quite an adjustment for Jonathan and I. Soon it will be time for me to go back to work and put our little Olivia in daycare. I will be starting a new position at an elementary school in Grand Prairie as a Math/Science strategist. I'm looking forward to the transition and the opportunity to work in a different capacity.

Olivia is a growing girl and is finally feeling a little heavier to me. She's a little clingy and likes to be held. It gets kinda hard to get things done with an infant attached to you 24/7. We're definitely enjoying our newest addition and savoring every grin even if it's just due to gas.

SHE'S HERE!!!!!!!

Well when you say you can't wait...you better mean it! We were patiently anticipating little Olivia's arrival. Little did we know she had other plans of arriving 3 weeks early and on mommy and daddy's 3rd wedding anniversary.

Needless to say we are thrilled just a little taken back at the sudden addition. She has been an angel since we met her.

She weighed 5 pounds 8 ounces and was 18 inches long. Not at all what we were expecting. She felt like a much longer little girl.

Things around the Ozuna's have definitely changed in the last few days....sleep is a precious commodity, Jonathn has learned he now comes second, and Bailey is still trying to figure out what this little thing is that is taking all her daddy's attention.

We are truly blessed and can't wait to share her with the world!!!

Comps

Well many of you may not of known but Mandy took her comps about 2 weeks ago to complete her master's degree. Well the time came to find out if she passed or not and everybody got an email from the campus stating that they passed except poor little ole Mandy. Well it turns out they just forgot to send it to her, but not until 5 days after everybody else found out. So she passed, but not without already experiencing an emotional disaster. Did I pass, I failed, surely I passed, what if i failed, man this acid reflex is killing me, stop kicking me Olivia. AHHHHHH. We got through it though. Her next endeavor, graduating in her cap and gown 8 months pregnant.

Olivia in the 4d world

Our baby girl in the 4d world. As soon as Jonathan started talking to her, she smiled. He said we don't have to take a paternity test anymore because she has his big lips.haha!! It was such a neat experience.

Shopping Sprees by Mommy and Daddy! And no Mommy didn't buy her her first pair of shoes, her Daddy did! (nice taste too)

Here's the baby bump in Mexico...she definitely liked the all inclusive meals! The sunset was beautiful; we made it a habit to try and watch it every night.

Here's a few pics from our Mexico trip. This was Jonathan's birthday gift to me...and ironically enough our get away to relax and try to start expanding our family. Little did we know we were already pregnant when we booked those plane tickets in October. We truly soaked up every moment and made the most of our last vacation as just the two of us. However, our patience was tested through missing connecting flights due to airline delays, getting the run around from Customer Service about having to postpone our trip two days, deciding to go on the Amazing Race and fly to Cancun, drive to Playa de Carmen, ferry over to Cozumel and taxi to our resort...all without our lugguge...which arrived a few days later. On the bright side we got to shop for a new Mexican attire and looked quite snappy for the few days we were without our own clothes.

We also had the priviledge of meeting a very cool couple from Fargo, ND. We had some great last nights getting to know one another and even being the main event on stage together one night. We all learned a great deal about our dancing abilities that night and couldn't help but get to know each other a little more personally after witnessing some quite impressive Dirty Dancing impressionations. (Did I mention we brought home first place!) We hope they are doing well and our prayers have been with them since they returned to major flooding and threats of loosing their city. We were truly in paradise for awhile and even though we had to return it was bitter sweet because there's nothing like home sweet home. (But we would go back in a heartbeat....and fly direct)
